About

The Really Strange Record Club is a music social for adventurous listeners. Every other month, we meet up at Dreamhouse Records at 177 Francis Road in Leyton, London to hang out, listen to records we’ve brought along, and chat.

Everyone gets 15 mins on the turntable, and you can use that time however you like: a side of your favourite LP, a collection of 7" singles, or a selection of tracks you think go well together. All sounds, scenes and genres are welcome (apart from hate stuff). Have a look at what people have brought along to previous events if you need some inspiration.

You don’t have to bring a record - if you want to come along and hear something new you’re more than welcome. If you want to guarantee a turntable slot, email hello@reallystrangerecord.club ahead of time so we can put you on the list. Most people bring vinyl, but all physical formats are welcome - just let us know if you’re bringing e.g. a CD or tape so we can make sure we’ve set up the right kit.

We started the Really Strange Record Club to meet people, share music and have fun. This is not a snooty night for music snobs - we’re doing this to discover new sounds and make new friends, and everyone is welcome.

The Really Strange Record Club was founded in 2023 by Matt Nida.
